What is Aerial Yoga?

Aerial Yoga is just like any other yoga class, but with a twist. We use the aerial hammocks as a prop to work in inversions, stretches, and challenging balance postures. The use of the hammock will help you get deeper in your practice while building strength and flexibility.

The Aerial Yoga class is not an acrobatic class, and aerial tricks, dives, and drops are not permitted in this class. If you are interested in this type of class, check out our Circus schedule.

Aerial Yoga is taught to all levels, so you don't need experience to participate. However, if you prefer to have it broken down for you as a beginner, we offer an Aerial Yoga Basics class on Thursdays at 6:45 pm.

Aerial Yoga classes do fill up quickly, so make sure to sign up online to guarantee a spot.

Yin Yoga

Tuesdays
9:30 am - 10:30 am
6:45 pm – 7:45 pm

All Levels Class

This practice is designed to help you sit longer, and more comfortably, in meditation by stretching connective tissue around the joints (mainly the knees, pelvis, sacrum, and spine). A passive practice, Yin Yoga involves variations of seated and supine poses typically held for 3 to 5 minutes, accessing deeper layers of fascia. Postures are supported by props including bolsters, blankets, sand bags, and blocks.

While this is a passive practice, it doesn't lack challenge. Challenge yourself to go deeper inside, mentally and physically!

Yin/Yang Yoga

Sundays
11:15 am - 12:15 am

All Levels Class

The combination of passive (yin) and vigorous (yang) yoga practices, is rooted in the idea that, in order to create balance in your overall practice, you need to alternately exert and quiet yourself.

This class will balance graceful, flowing postures with the ease of reclining or seated yin postures supported by bolsters and other yoga props.

The perfect balance to invigorate and soothe your body and self.

Mindful Recovery Gentle Yoga

Yoga Basics

Mondays
9:30 am – 10:30 am

Learn foundation, alignment, and how to transition from pose to pose with safety and mindfulness. Heated Yoga

Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays
8 am – 9 am

Thursdays
8:00 am - 9:00 am
6:45 pm – 7:45 pm

All Levels Class

This is not a hot Yoga class. Heated Yoga's intention is not to sweat or restrict breathing.

We love to turn up the heat, but only just a little bit, because a little goes a long way. We turn it up to just about 85 degrees; just enough to warm you up to supple movement, but not so much that you will risk stretching too deep into false flexibility. You will be treated at the end of class with an essential oil soaked hand towel that will invigorate and cool you after your practice.

All Levels Yoga

Mondays, Wednesdays
6:45 pm – 7:45 pm

Tuesdays, Fridays
4:15 - 5:15 pm

Tuesdays
5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Saturdays
9:15 am - 10:15 am

Sundays
8 am - 9 am
10 am - 11 am

All levels welcomes everyone from beginners to advanced. We love practicing with all levels in the same class so we can learn from and inspire each other. Progressions and modifications will be taught to approach all postures from differing levels and abilities. This class is great for beginning students to learn the postures and also to be able to see where those postures can take you. Continuing students get an opportunity to continue to explore modifications and progressions to keep building strength and focus.

Tap into your inner power with this class. Twists, core heating postures, and don't forget leg day! We do it all in this class. Power doesn't mean advanced, it just means challenging yourself a little extra to break through obstacles and barriers in your body and your mind. Use your inner power and your inner compass to determine how intense or gentle you need to be to yourself at any given point in your life. This is power yoga!

Yoga Rope Wall

Wednesdays
9:30 am – 10:30 am

Saturdays
10:30 am – 11:30 am

All Levels Class

The Yoga Rope Wall is an Iyengar style of practicing yoga, using ropes on the wall for alignment, support, strength, and flexibility. The ropes will allow you to build strength and flexibility while learning the proper alignment for your body. When you practice on your mat without the ropes, you will be able to tap into the same sensations as you experienced using the ropes. The ropes will teach you a lot about how to safely approach a standing practice. This is a great class for beginners and continuing students.

Circus Classes

Studio Seva offers circus apparatus conditioning classes on a variety of circus apparatus. Apparatus you will learn include: Lyra (aerial hoop), Silks, Rope, Trapeze (static and dance), Static Cloud, Sling, and Aerial Loops. Each month Studio Seva features one piece of circus equipment to focus on, allowing each student to build strength and growth on each apparatus. Check the schedule to see which apparatus will be taught monthly . While this class does require upper body strength for more advanced moves, you don't need to be advanced to begin.

Anyone can try the circus class, and within just weeks you will notice an improvement in upper body strength. The beauty of this class is that while you are building strength, you are still stretching back muscles, shoulder muscles, leg muscles, building core strength and learning how to hold your self against gravity.

Circus classes are sold separately from the yoga classes. All Circus classes are all levels, and taught with a classroom lab approach, with instruction and one-on-one assistance, but with freedom and independence to work at your own pace. Beginners will receive personal assistance getting started, and each student will receive one-on-one instruction to progress through strength drills, tricks, and transitions at his/her own pace.

Side effects of Circus class may include: fun, strength, flexibility, body awareness, new friends, and lots of laughter.

Please see the schedule for the circus class for up to date listings.

Circus classes are limited to just 6 per class. Pre-registration is required. Walk-ins for the class are not accepted. Must pre-register.
